Expo 2015: tickets on sale from March next year

The sale of tickets for admission to Expo 2015 will open in March 2014: the announcement was made at the Expo Tourism Summit organized in Milan a few days ago by Expo 2015 in collaboration with Bit, the International Tourism Exchange of  Fieramilano, which saw the arrival of 50 leading tour operators from both traditional and emerging markets converge upon the city of Milan.

Twenty million visitors are expected to attend the Universal Exposition of Milan. According to the latest estimates, the pre-sale of tickets for admission to the fair will account for between some 4 and 5 million tickets. Prices are scheduled to be announced in December: the average cost of a daily ticket will be around 22 euros although the organizers are also studying special reduced rates for various types of tickets including morning, afternoon and evening entries,  groups, children, schools, senior citizens, etc.

Thanks to the partnership between Expo Milano 2015 and FieraMilano, at the next edition of Bit, scheduled to be held at Fieramilano from 13 to 15 February 2014, attendees will be given a chance to visit the new Bit BuyExpo 2015 workshop where it will be possible to make advance purchases of tourist packages linked to the World Fair,

A project targeted at expats is also shortly set to be launched with the aim of encouraging at least one million visitors of Italian origin to return to their native country for the event.
