200 key companies in the sector, with their 1,000 brands, will present themselves at Expo 2015 through a 5,000 msq Pavillion. A huge space that is awaiting not only the millions of visitors of the Universal Exhibition, but also over 2,000 professional operators from all over the world, whose visit have already been planned, from May to October 2015. This is the profile of "Cibus is Italia - the Federalimentare Expo Pavillion", the pavillion of the Italian foods industry at Expo 2015.
The Pavillion is situated in front of the East entrance of Expo, just a few meters from the taxi and shuttle parking of Expo, in front of the BioDiversity Park, on the avenue that leads close to the Italian Pavillion. It is one of the largest structures of the Exhibition and it is developed on two exhibition floors and a terrace for meetings and events. The Pavillion has been built by Federalimentare (the conf industrial association made of over 6,000 food companies) and by Fiere di Parma with the important contribution of the Ministry of Agriculture. The aim is that of presenting to the world our extraordinary productive scenario: the history, the tradition, the know-how and the quality of the Italian food products.
For six months visitors can take advantage of a marvellous itinary of edutainment that will take them "inside" the most loved and well-known Italian products to get to know their story and the secrets for their quality. At the same time, thanks to the direction of ICE and the know how of CIBUS, thousands of international operators can end this experience, which started in the Pavillion, on the terrace reserved to business matching with the companies and therefore in the territories where they will be hosted after their visit to Expo.
