Saturday 30th August ExpoExpress, the exhibition train created by Ferrovie dello Stato, Expo 2015 S.p.A. and Mondadori, left Track 9 of Santa Lucia Station in Venice. The convoy will travel through all of Italy, with the aim of presenting Expo Milano 2015, the Universal Exhibition that will attract the attention of all the world on Italy and Milan for six whole months. The tour will cover 12 cities.
Aboard the Trenitalia train made of three carriages (Casa Expo, Carrozza Live, Carrozza Food), one can experiment a tour dedicated to the interactive narration of the Expo project, thanks to images, videos and info-graphics. Casa Expo, particularly, will be the place in which the public will meet Foody, Expo's mascot, and where one can discover previews, for example, the five Theme areas of Expo Milano 2015.
The spaces of the Live and Food carriages will be dedicated to free meetings for fashion, nutrition and wellness, events, workshops, castings and show cooking organised by the Mondadori magazines (Donna Moderna, Grazia, TuStyle, Starbene and Sale&Pepe). The Live carriage will also host initiatives dedicated to WE-Women for Expo, an Expo Milano 2015 projects in collaboration with the MInistry of Foreign Affairs and the Foundation Arnoldo and Alberto Mondadori.
Among others "A recipe for life", aimed at building a large digital heritage of recipes collected and divided in ten categories, from cooking with left-overs to entertainment food, from memories of a trip to regional and traditional tastes. ExpoExpress will end its tour on the 12th December 2014 in Venice, after going to Verona, Padua, Milan, Genoa, Trieste, Rome, Turin, Bologna, Florence, Pisa and Naples.
