ExpoinCittà, the programme promoted by the Comune di Milano and the Chamber of Commerce for the six months of the Universal Exhibition, launches its first catalogue online with all the available locations in the metropolitan area: apart from the nine-hundred public and private spaces, divided by areas, type, capacity and functional characteristics.
"In occasion of Expo, Milan shows itself and offers all its beauty to the citizens and the visitors who, through the cultural and leisure opportunities offered by ExpoinCittà - we are now at 27 thousand appointments - will have the possibility of making use of the thousand spaces of all kinds of which the city is rich of, from the most prestigious historic palazzo's to its lesser known corners, recently restored to public use thanks to a vast requalification project on the urban territory", said the Vice-Mayor and Urban Design Councillor of the City of Milan Ada Lucia De Cesaris.
There are over 900 locations present today in the catalogue: 779 in the territory around Milan, 156 in the City. 69% of which private spaces and 31% public, belonging to the Council of Milan, adjacent Councils and various authorities. The types are the most varied: historic palazzo's (for example, the Palazzo delle Poste in Piazza Cordusio, Palazzo Serbelloni, Palazzo Castiglioni, Galleria d'Italia, Palazo Giureconsulti, Palazzo Clerici), ex industrial areas (Spazio Branca in Lancetti, Hangar Bicocca, libraries, museums and art galleries, sports complexes, conference halls, showrooms, spaces with kitchens, multi-functional spaces, theatres, concert halls and auditoriums, meeting rooms
The locations catalogue is a new meeting space for demand and offer of spaces for all initiatives and the activities scheduled today and in the future, which promses to be among the most important legacies post-Expo.
