The committee of the Qatar Pavilion at Expo 2015 has announced the signature of a preliminary agreement with the Katara Hospitality group which includes, among other things, "services linked to hospitality and facilities", at the hotel Excelsior Hotel Gallia di Milano.
The historic hotel in Piazza Duca D'Aosta, openedin 1932 and recently rennovated by the Milanese architect Marco Piva, following the acquisition of the same Katara Hospitality, group leader in the hospitality sector with headquarters in Qatar. With 235 elegant rooms and suites, luxury services and comfort, the Excelsior Hotel Gallia offers ideal meeting spaces for meetings, events and ceremonies. The agreement nominates Katara Hospitality the official hotel partner for delegates, visitors and associates of the Committee of the Qatar Pavilion during Expo 2015
And it is precisely the Qatar Pavilion to be one of the most impressive of the site, with its 3,716 metres squared, inspired to the traditional atmospheres of the souk. The second floor hosts a large Jafeer, the traditional basket of food used in the Middle East, with a diametres of about 10m and almost a metre high, where one can watch interactive shows. On top of the pavilion there is a large hanging garden. Moreover, Qatar is the first country to build next to its Pavilion a theatre, the Otrix, designed to host different events, organised even by other participating Countries
