There is optimism in the air, supported also by the positive data gatherd by the survey based on ticket sales in June at Expo 2015. This is assured by Expo 2015's CEO and Commissioner and the State's delegate Giuseppe Sala, during a conference dedicated to the agricultural food farming, held in Milan. "June - declares Sala - has been definitely a good month and we have positive feelings also for July."
Moreover, he adds, "there are signals that in Milan, hotels have a lot of work and financial development that is being generated, particularly through shopping by Italians and foreigners, is very good." Giuseppe Sala shows other statistics too, above all regarding the business generated by the Universal Exhibition, for some too much concentrated on the site instead of on the city of Milan.
"In May the CartaSi observatory, which collects all credit cards, indicates a 17% average increase compared to May of last year on the transactions value with credit cards in Milanese shops and this is in my opinion a fundamental fact. I believe, although I would like to see the final data, that June can be even better, particularly as much as the foreigners' contribution goes", specifies the Commissioner.
