Currently boasting its 16th anniversary, the award is sponsored by Ernst & Young, a company that provides tax and consulting services to companies. The aim of the award is to recognize and celebrate the talent of those entrepreneurs who have contributed significantly to the growth of the domestic economy. The prize-giving ceremony was held on 22 November at Palazzo Mezzanotte in Milan, headquarters of the Italian Stock Exchange.
The prize was awarded to Elisabetta Fabri “for having created a chain of totally unique 4-5 star hotels, capable of expressing all the elegance and style of “Made-in-Italy” hospitality throughout the world, combining a high level of service with results that are constantly higher than the sector’s average.”
Since 2000, Fabri has helmed the Starhotels chain, founded by her father, which comprises 22 hotels, including 17, four star hotels located in major Italian cities as well as five belonging to the Collezione, headquartered in New York, Paris, Milan, Trieste and Venice.
