
30 November 2012: the Italian Chapter of MPI (Meeting Professionals International) chose the Sheraton Roma Hotel & Conference to host the international executives of the community boasting more than 23,000 members belonging to 72 chapters and clubs worldwide.
Guests attending the evening, entitled Due Americani a Roma and reserved for some seventy members of the association, included Chief operating officer and Chief executive officer ad interim Cindy d’Aoust and Senior director membership and chapters Brad Shanklin, accompanied by Christian Savelli, Senior director for business intelligence.
The four star, Sheraton Roma Hotel is located in EUR, in the business district, between the historic centre and Rome’s international Fiumicino airport. The complex features 640 well-appointed rooms and a large congress centre. Recently renovated thanks to an investment of 10 million euros, the congress space comprises 26 meeting rooms. This versatile space, extending over a surface area of 4,180 square metres, includes a multifunctional, 1,300 sq.m. Ball Room capable of accommodating up to 2,000 people which can be divided into a maximum of seven, sound-proofed rooms. The other 19 meeting rooms can host up to 600 guests.
The Sheraton Roma also has two restaurants, Wi-Fi access available in all rooms and communal spaces, an indoor swimming pool and a shuttle service, leaving at set hours, that connects the hotel to the centre of the city and the airport.
