From 15 December Italo will debut on the Milano-Ancona line

On 15 December, the first Italo train for Milan will leave from Ancona at 6.57am, reaching Milan in 2 hours and 53 minutes. This date marks the launch of the new Milan-Rimini-Ancona connection via Reggio Emilia and Bologna.

Italo will travel along the traditional Adriatic line as far as Bologna where it will switch to the Reggio Emilia node on the new High Speed line (and vice-versa).

Each day, three convoys will test out the new route to assess the response of the area and traveller appreciation. Two convoys will travel as far as Turin.

From 30 October, tickets for the new connections will be on sale via regular channels: on the italotreno.it website, at affiliated travel agencies, through Pronto Italo contact centers (06.07.08) and from the automatic ticket vending machines at stations.

Prices are competitive: for example the Milan-Rimini route starts from €20 in Smart, €30 in First Class and €71 in Club; the Milan-Ancona route starts from €20 in Smart, €40 in First Class and €86 in Club.
