"La prova del cuoco... incentive con gusto" (Trying your hand as a chef…a flavour-filled incentive) is the name of the new meeting package currently on offer at Riccione’s Hotel Lungomare. After a long day of attending meetings, the hotel offers delegates a convivial, flavour-filled evening by offering them a chance to take part in a fun-filled culinary competition.
In fact, after the meeting, delegates will be given a chance to test their strengths in the preparation of typical “romagnoli” dishes at the Locanda Girasoli, a late 19th century farmhouse set against the lush green hills of Riccione, just a short distance from the hotel.
Here, under the supervision of the chef and the kitchen staff, the guests, divided into teams, will try their hand at preparing several of the region’s best-known local specialities including strozzapreti, piadine and char-grilled meat which, once cooked, will be eaten together. At the end of the evening, they will be given a chef’s hat, an apron and a booklet describing the recipes that they have just prepared, all personalized with their company’s logo.
The cost of the package is €265 per person (for a minimum of 25 participants) and includes accommodation in a double room for single use, the use of a meeting room, two coffee breaks, two buffet breakfasts, the cookery course and the dinner.
The Hotel Lungomare, easily accessible from Rimini’s international Federico Fellini airport, has 52 rooms, six Junior suites and two suites. Other on-site amenities include two restaurants, one of which is located on the sixth floor with a fabulous panoramic view, five meeting rooms of which the largest, the Sala Rosa dei Venti, is designed to accommodate up to 200 delegates and a private beach.
