Alitalia inaugurates its new “Dolce Vita” Lounge at Rome’s Fiumicino airport

Alitalia’s new Dolce Vita Lounge at Terminal 1 of Rome- Fiumicino Leonardo da Vinci airport is a tribute to Italian style and has been completely refurbished in keeping with the best of “Made-in-Italy” elegance.

For the makeover of the lounge, Alitalia teamed up with several of Italy’s top luxury brands including illy, Eataly, B&B Italia, MDF Italia, Prandina, Gruppo Sintesi and FSC Professional Show, not only to create a place enabling travellers to relax while waiting to board their flights but also one capable of offering them the experience of Italian hospitality and the unparalleled elegance and values of Alitalia style.

Extending over a surface area of 700 square metres, it comprises a private refreshment and rest area, situated on the left of the entrance, and a servicing, check-in and ticketing area, situated on the right of the entrance.

The lounge is furnished with original air components and on-board instrumentation including a flight simulator which allows guests to experience the thrill of piloting an aircraft.

Access to the lounge is reserved free-of-charge to members of the club and passengers holding Magnifica, Business, Ottima or Comfort class tickets. However, it can also be accessed by paying a fee either by purchasing a special ticket or subscription.

Passengers can also enjoy a dedicated service area installed with tablets with printers and free Wi-Fi access, as well as a multi-touch-screen that can be used simultaneously by several users to discover the Alitalia world, simply by browsing its destinations using appropriate tools.
