Four Seasons Florence

After the luxurious hotels on the Emerald Coast and Maison Valentino, the Four Seasons Hotel in Florence, owned by businessmen Marcello and Corrado Fratini of the Fingen Group, has been bought by Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani, Emir of Qatar, for a figure of EUR 150 million.

One of the most beautiful in the chain, the hotel is located inside the historic Palazzo della Gherardesca di Borgo Pinti, a Renaissance building and a masterpiece of Florentine architecture, set within a park extending over almost five hectares, the Gherardesca Garden, just moments from the city’s historic centre.

The hotel has 117 rooms and suites, four restaurants and a large Spa offering unique treatments including a Chianti massage and a Tuscan oil scrub.

The complex offers 660 sq.m. of event spaces – a perfect meld of historic majesty and modern-day technology. Events are held at the Conventino, an old, deconsecrated church serving as the ideal backdrop for myriad occasions, and the Palazzo della Gherardesca featuring frescoed walls and ceilings, more than 1,840 sq.m. of Italian gardens, lawns and terraces for coffee breaks, aperitivi, cocktails and al-fresco events.
