Marriott Hotels introduces Red Coat Direct app to manage meetings from your smartphone

The new Marriott Hotels Red Coat Direct app allows event organizers to manage all the logistic and organizational aspects of a meeting from their mobile phones.

The app has just been introduced into 350 Marriott Hotel properties in the US and will be expanded to the brand’s entire global portfolio, including Italy, by the end of 2014.

Simply by clicking on their mobile device, without leaving the meeting room, interrupting the meeting or making delegates wait, meeting organizers can now ask to have the room temperature adjusted, order coffee or make menu adjustments, by sending their requests, via a smartphone, to the events manager or events division of the hotel.  

The application is customized for each specific event. Furthermore, requests can be made up to three days prior to the event and for the entire duration of the meeting.

Red Coat Direct is available for  IPhones, iPads, Android mobile devices, Kindle Fires and PCs. Additionally, starting from 2014, it will also be accessible in 19 different languages.
