The Best Western hotels are the first in Italy to use the Google Maps indoor function

The Google Maps indoor function which allows users to navigate in closed spaces including airports, hotels, museums and shopping malls directly from the maps on their mobile devices or computers, is now available in Italy. The Best Western was the first hotel chain to adhere to the initiative in Italy.

At present, nine facilities of the chain feature this option which will soon be extended to other venues. These include the Best Western CTC Hotel in Verona; the Best Western Premier Hotel Galileo in Padua; the Best Western Premier Hotel Cristoforo Colombo and the Best Western Hotel Galles in Milan; the Best Western Premier BHR Treviso Hotel; the Best Western Hotel Universo in Rome; the Best Western Quid Hotel in Trento; the Best Western Hotel Fiuggi Terme Resort & Spa and the Best Western Premier Villa Fabiano Palace Hotel in Rende Cosenza.

Using hotel plans, both leisure and business users can navigate and explore the indoor spaces of facilities in the same way as they do  road routes.

Airports including Orio al Serio and Venice’s Marco Polo, railway stations such as Torino Porta Nuova, Roma Termini, Napoli Centrale and museums like the Leonardo da Vinci Museum of Science and Technology in Milan have also adhered to new the Google Maps project. The list of affiliated facilities is available on https://support.google.com/gmm/answer/1685827#italy.
