Borgo San Felice Relais & Châteaux will host a charity event presided over by Prince Albert II of Monaco

On 10 October, the Borgo San Felice Relais & Châteaux complex of Castelnuovo Berardenga, located in the province of Siena, will host the charity evening  organized by the Fondation Prince Albert II De Monaco, engaged in the search for solutions related to issues regarding biodiversity, climate change and water resource management.

The event, to be attended by Prince Albert II of Monaco and Princess Charlene, will be preceded in the afternoon by a scientific conference on the theme of bio-diversity and pollution of the Mediterranean Sea. The conference will be held in the 'Aula Magna of Siena’s Palazzo del Rettorato. Conversely, the evening will involve the raising of funds with a lottery promoted to finance the myriad projects of the Foundation which is active on an international level.

An old, fully restructured hamlet of medieval origin, owned by the Allianz Group, Borgo San Felice is situated on the hills of Chianti classico, just 15km from Siena. Surrounded by 140 hectares of private vineyards, the facility features 29 rooms and 17 suites, located in several of the buildings of this historic hamlet: two restaurants inspired by Tuscan cuisine and local products; the wine cellars of the San Felice wine estate which produce a range of noble wines and DOP olive oils and a wellness centre situated in an old olive press.

The complex also has spaces for meetings and events including the Sala Dei Barberi designed to accommodate up to 145 delegates.  The relais is also home to a Romanesque parish church dating back to the 8th century and an 18th century chapel used to celebrate wedding ceremonies.
