A year away of the official inauguration of the Universal Exhibition of Milan, there are good news regarding the potential "internal" public. 73% of the Italians (85% of the Lombards) declares to be wiling to visit the Pavillions of Expo 2015, whereas only 25% confirms their actual participation to the event. This last data becomes 53% if one adds all the Lombard residents, generating a considerable potential domestic public for the event.

This percentage is the result of a sample survey by a selection of adult Italian population connected to the internet by Italian Touring Club and Duepuntozero Doxa. The results of the survey show that the majority of Italians (82%, though it arrives to 97% for the Lombards) knows well the city where the Expo 2015 will be held, which is a much higher percentage than that of 2011 (with just over 50%, source: Tci, TurisMonitor 2012). It is less known, however, how long the event will last: only 27% of Italians, in fact, states "six months" (42% for the Lombards) whereas the most common idea is that it is an annual event (35% of Italians).

At the same time, the survey reveals that the Lombards are  solidarity champions: over half of those interviewed is in fact available for voluntary work to support the various hospitality activities during the six weeks of this planetary event; 11% is ready to candidate and 41% is thinking about it.
