Business Travellers Priorities? Data and mobile technology

Great attention to available data and to mobile technology to improve the management of business travel, with a constant focus on the reduction of costs and on the involvement of travellers: here are the main guidelines that emerged from the seventh edition of the Travel Management Priorities study, the second part of the annual survey carried out on corporate travel managers by Carlson Wagonlit Travel (CWT).

The report shows that in 2015 travel managers, worldwide, will have the absolute priority (63%) to use travel data to elaborate predictive analysis and create benchmarks, so as to better reach specific business objectives. In second place is the implementation of solutions for the monitoring and rebooking of rates, considered as an important priority by 62% of the interviewed, whereas the promotion of mobile apps to increase the efficiency during the trip remains the fundamental theme, in third place with 60%.

The CWT study thus confirms the importance of mobile technology, destined to carry out a fundamental role both for travel managers as well as business travellers. "Travel managers are trying to decifer the data into information and to promote the use of mobile technology to improve travellers' experience", commented David Moran, Executive Vice President responsible for Global Marketing & Enterprise Strategy of CWT.
