The last, important, piace of the puzzle of the members of the Convention Bureau Italia is the Promotional Tourism Agency of Regione Emilia Romagna. An important entry that represents the umpteenth demonstration about the work carried out by the Convention Bureau Italia and on the ever greater acknowledgement by the institutions.
The strategic choice of the Emilia-Romagna region, always among the most active in the tourist promotion for the conference segment, will have an important consequence even on the operators of the territory in terms of benefits and services. All the companies based in Emilia Romagna and those that match the basic quality requisites of the conference offer will have in fact access to all promotional activities of the Convention Bureau Italia by using the friend of a member rate. Strengthened also the relation with the two local Convention Bureaus officially recognised by the Agency: Bologna Convention Bureau and Convention Bureau of the Riviera di Rimini, two realities that the Convention Bureau Italia includes among its founding members and that thanks to this agreement will take advantage of a reduction of their membership rate even though still continuing to be part of the network as full members.
The agreement between the Region and the CBI comes after previous collaborations, such as that on the occasion of the IBTM 2015 when the Promotional Tourism Agency contributed to the organisation of the event The Italian Break at the Italian stand with a provision of Parmigiano Reggiano. With the entry of the Emilia Romagna Region and other important territorial realities, the CBI has exceeded its aim of the hundred members, increasing fivefold the corporate assortment after only thirty months since the beginning of its activity. Carlotta Ferrari, Chairman of the Convention Bureau Italia expresses great satisfaction “that of the Emilia Romagna Region is an institutional acknowledgement of great importance. The entry of our network of the fifth Italian region, with over 38 million tourist presences in 2016, allows us to be able to represent over 1,400 companies operative in our sector over all the national territory.”
