Milan’s Uptown Palace and Grand Visconti Palace are the latest additions to the MGallery luxury brand owned by the Accor Group, thus bringing the number of Italian structures in the collection to nine. Located in the centre of the city, both new hotels are distinguished by their outstanding hospitality in perfect keeping with the brand’s philosophy.
A modern, design hotel, the Uptown Palace is just a short walk from piazza Duomo. Boasting an urban-chic style, the hotel has 158 rooms furnished in pure Italian style, including a fabulous presidential suite from which guests can enjoy an unrivalled view over the spires of the Duomo, and a high-class restaurant which, in addition to offering top-notch Lombardy fare also serves a number of international specialities.
Conversely, the Grand Visconti Palace falls within the McGallery’s Heritage category. The building housing the hotel is located on the site of one of Milan’s former industrial landmarks. In fact, the courtyard that housed an old mill in the last century is now a beautiful Italian-style garden that can be admired from the rooms, the restaurant, the Spa and the Conference Centre. The city resort Grand Visconti Palace boasts 172 rooms, including the Tower Suite extending over a surface area of 120 sq.m. on three levels, connected by private lifts and featuring a charming view over the roofs of Milan. Other on-site facilities include a modern Congress Centre consisting of 14 meeting rooms, a Health Club featuring a sauna, Turkish bath, Jacuzzi area, fitness space and an indoor swimming pool as well as a restaurant located on the fifth floor in an attic converted from the granary of the old mill.
