Now in its fourth edition, Buy Tuscany, the B2B event organized once a year by Toscana Promotion to inform international buyers about the area’s tourist offer, has changed both its location and format: from the historic Stazione Leopolda it has now relocated to Fortezza da Basso to become the first experiential workshop in the world.
In fact, international buyers will now have a chance to live their experience in Tuscany by participating in a series of educational tours prior to taking part in one-to-one meetings with local operators.
Novelties announced for this year will include the creation of four theme areas, Luxury, Services, Leisure and MICE, which represent the products and tourist services offered by the region. Buyers will have a chance to meet regional tour operators at their work stations thanks to pre-fixed appointments and free sessions. This edition also envisages Buy Tuscany Extended, i.e. the possibility of following up on contacts between demand and supply throughout the rest of the year and not only during workshops.
The 2011 edition of Buy Tuscany was attended by 170 Tuscan operators and 150 international buyers from 25 countries, for a total of approximately 3,500 appointments.
