To respond to the growing demand from the American market, easyJet, the #1 network of air transport in Europe and the third largest company in Italy, has created a website dedicated to the US. In fact, according to Peter Duffy, Marketing Director of easyJet, in spite of finding themselves thousands of kilometres from an airport served by easyJet, more than 90,000 US customers visit easyJet.com every week and this figure continues to grow.
Visits from the US now feature in easyJet's top ten league table by volume with more than 360,000 visits in September alone. On the dedicated www.easyjet.com/us website, the homepage contains messages and information dedicated to US customers who will now be able to book their flights in dollars for the first time.
The UK retains the number one spot with almost 14million visits during September, followed by France and then Italy with more than 4 million visits per month. The British low-cost carrier flies on more than 600 routes serving 130 airports in 30 countries, including Italy.
