A total of 21 royal residences of Turin and the region Piedmont have been collected on the new website www.residenzereali.it on line from the end of September. You find palaces, villa’s and castles that go back to the history of the Upper Savoy region, a unique heritage recognized by UNESCO in 1997.
The rating and promotional project of the royal residences have been entrusted by the Region of Piedmont and its Council of Culture and Tourism to Turismo Torino e Provincia, who took care of implementing and managing the website.
The website is available in 3 languages (Italian, French and English) and offers, through an easy and prompt navigation, both description of the single residences with details on practical information (opening times, costs, services, etc.) as well as a calendar of the events hosted in every residence.
The instant connection from this website with the website Piemonte Italia, gives national and international visitors possibility to find also information on where to sleep, where to eat in Piedmont’s best restaurants some of them actually inside the residences, and how to use services, in particular proposals for tours with electrical bikes by using cycle paths to reach the Reggia di Venaria and the Palazzina di Caccia di Stupinigi from the center of Turin.
