Based on the new strategy implemented by the AC Hotels by Marriott, the AC Hotel Torino has seen a change in category. Located in Turin, the hotel has been downgraded from a 5 to a 4 star hotel not only with the aim of making its exclusive services more accessible to the market but also to develop new business opportunities, all the while continuing to retain the high-quality standards of its facilities intact. In fact, in addition to allowing for more budget-friendly rates and a reduction in city tax (from 4.90 to 3.20 Euros), its downgrading will mean that it will be more accessible to the business travel segment and, above all, to medical congresses which, based on corporate policy, are not allowed to use 5 star hotels.
A design hotel, boasting industrial architecture, the AC Hotel Torino is housed in an old pasta factory, one of the first industrial constructions in the region of Piedmont dating back to the early 20th century. The hotel has 89 rooms, four meeting rooms capable of accommodating 200 delegates, a fitness centre and a restaurant with a terrace. The hotel also recently introduced several innovations including Deluxe rooms with free Internet access, a drink card to be used at the hotel bar, a DVD player and a coffee&tea maker in the room.
