Tuscany offers emerging markets experiential tourism. International buyers participating in Buy Tuscany experience the delights of Tuscany first-hand

The tourist promotion project organized by Toscana Promozione in collaboration with InnovActing to offer emerging markets and, in particular, Chinese markets, a customized, regional tourist product is called Tourist Experience Design (TED) . In other words, not just a simple journey in discovery of the area and its heritage but a real experience designed to linger on in the minds of visitors and enrich their personal experiences. 

The initiative also includes the creation of Super Tour Operator (TO), a network of businesses that brings together Tuscan incoming agencies and which presently counts 22 local operators, with the aim of offering a new experiential product in a unitary manner to improve quality and adopt a systematic approach. 

"Super TO is a project whose aim is to develop experiential tourism, whereby the tourist is a protagonist almost as if he/she were the main character of his/her own personal film. This is only possible through cooperation with members of the tourist industry. For this reason, Super TO also has the task of training and transmitting know-how to professionals in the industry, by creating an aggregated, experiential offer”, commented  Giovanni Calì, Head of Toscana Promozione, on the occasion of Buy Tuscany which ended a few days ago in Florence.

In fact, during Buy Tuscany, the event recently organized by Toscana Promozione at Fortezza da Basso, international buyers present (141) were able to have a brief “taste” of what it means to live an experience in Tuscany thanks to the seven different eductours in which they participated.  The seven itineraries reflected the seven experiential concepts proposed by Super TO (naturalia, massive storm of art, be cool, the grand tour of Europe, the moments you deserve, mice and educational travel) during which attendees had a chance to experiment with a range of activities from pottery courses to art workshops; from a Renaissance dinner to a tour in a vintage car; from dressing up in Renaissance costumes to a visit to the ateliers of renowned designers.
